A mall day with a baby means carrying the baby, the bag, and everything you buy — often while steering through crowds. A pram (or stroller) changes the whole day, and you do not have to bring your own: Wheelerz has prams on rent inside the mall.

A Wheelerz story

Two hands were never enough

Arjun and Meera had one free afternoon to buy a gift for a cousin’s wedding — with eight-month-old Kabir, a nappy bag, and no pram in the car.

Meera booked a Baby Pram with Attendant from the parking lot. By the time they reached the entrance, a pram was ready, and the attendant stayed with them while they moved from shop to shop.

Kabir slept through most of it. They found the gift, had lunch sitting down, and were home before his evening feed.

An illustration of how the service works — the people in it are fictional.

Two ways to have a pram

  • Baby Pram with Attendant — an attendant brings the pram to you and stays with you, so your hands are free for shopping, feeding or a toddler who wants to walk.
  • Baby Pram without Attendant — collect a pram at the Wheelerz desk and use it yourself for as long as you need.

Both are billed by the hour, with the first hour as the minimum and the minutes after that charged as used.

And because babies touch — and taste — everything, hygiene comes first. Every pram is cleaned and sanitised after each use, including the seat, harness, tray and handlebar, so it is fresh for your little one.

A few habits that help

  • Book before you leave home. An advance booking holds a pram for your arrival time, so you are not waiting at the desk with a restless baby.
  • Choose your meeting point for how you arrive — a parking lift lobby if you drive, the main entrance if you are dropped off.
  • Plan around feeds and naps. Book a little longer than you think; you only pay for the time you actually use beyond the first hour.
  • Let us carry the bags. Handsfree Shopping pairs well with a pram — a porter holds your shopping while you look after the little one.

Good to know: Self-use prams are issued against an original ID held at the desk, returned when you bring the pram back.
